Mülheim, river kilometre 135
How did you come to be on the Moselle?
After years of learning and travelling, it was simply a case of “back to the roots”. And thus work where others go on holiday.
What does the river mean to you?
Everything, because everything is in the river. The Moselle is a connecting lifeline, a never-ending source of inspiration and a calming meditation stream at the same time.
What do you love about your job?
Everything, because everything is in the flow! Joking aside, of course I mean the variety that different tasks bring. You hardly ever get bored. And of course the contact with people. It is a privilege to be able to do what you love.
Where would you like to travel?
On the one hand, far, to get to know new things, on the other hand, only as far as the next corner, because the scruples prevail. Long-distance travel in particular is becoming more and more of a destructive luxury. Maybe we should travel via Metz, Nancy and Épinal to the source of the Moselle on the Col de Bussang again…
